I began painting after retiring from twenty years of active duty with the Army. It started as a hobby but soon became more than just that. Friends and acquaintances would see some of my work and sometimes ask that I paint something for them. One thing led to another and before I knew it I was trying to paint all sort of things. They became my first customers. I have dabbled with sketching most of my life but never took up art as a serious pursuit until later in life. Watercolor is my medium because of it's ease of use. I haven't wanted to try another medium. Admittedly, I've never had formal training in art but, I've studied many artists' work and have taken a lot of inspiration from them.

Most of all its something I enjoy doing and hopefully I can bring some enjoyment to those people who see my work.
